Sleeping Dogs

One chilly winter's day, I was working in my studio and looked down.  There on the floor at my feet were Hula and Ipo (Rhodesian Ridegbacks) curled up all cozy and sound asleep on their bright yellow blankets.  I just had to draw them as they made the most wonderful design.  I later turned the drawing into a small painting and then, liking it so much decided to translate it into a fabric quilt.  I first painted the fabric, then, using thread to help give it texture line,  quilted it heavily. It is hung with a hidden sleeve and dowel.
