Ho'opa'a - The Chanter

This image had been in my head for 20 years before it was finally ready to be portrayed in fabric. The Ho`opa`a or chanter is the one who holds history and tells the story in chant form for the hula dancers to portray in dance. Who will tell her story? Who will hold her history?
