Dragon Moon

The background of this piece is a tricolor weave of fabric tubes to create the illusion of "Tumbling Blocks" reminiscent of an Escher print.  The bright moon with the red dragonfly are appliquéd over the weaving and the piece is hung by tabs and a dowel.  It was so much fun to work on "Dragon Moon" as it really was something different from my usual approach of painting or collage.  It's good to step outside of one's comfort zone sometimes!
